OOPSIE! I own BOTH patterns,
and posted the wrong one!

Grace discovered this sewing machine this morning in our neighborhood – it had been put to the curb with the trash. WELL – she thought at first glance it was a sewing table with drawers that I had been looking for, (as if I didn’t have enough of them already,) but it turned out to have this machine inside. I don’t know anything about it yet, (correction: this is not a 153, but actually a model 151) — but I was anxious to share it with you right away! It may be something reparable or indeed someone’s junk: that remains to be seen. Yet, I think it’s a cool find, even if it only ends up in a restaurant as ‘Art Deco’! (I am not entirely snobbish about accepting money for things I find in the trash!) Hence: today’s quote.

Really: they set a bad example to their own children, parents, siblings, and all by low-cut down-to-the-navel style tops and dresses, tight jeans, shorter-than-undies skirts, shorts, and pants, ripped up and grungy-looking fabrics, jiggly-gross-ugly-flesh hanging out, and the coup de grâce : dirty tatoos.

YUCK and EVIL!

They offend decency and they offend my family!

BUT – we love them, and want Heaven
for them one day.

Yet, if we say anything – they scream
bloody-murder that we have offended them!

How dare they!

We can still love and pray for them without tolerating
their immodest, crummy rags and obnoxious behaviors.

This was my Mother Irene’s badge; I suspect she received it sometime before or on her First Holy Communion Day. I stopped wearing it because it is most delicate; yet, I am trying to find a way to do so without encasing it in ugly laminate. The Mercy of Jesus is not something that came first into vogue by Sister Faustina — Jesus has ALWAYS been Merciful; even before He was made incarnate, as He always existed as the Logos — The Word. Devotions to His Sacred Heart existed at least as far back as the year 347 with St. John Chrysostom, and probably even sooner, since the Apostles knew Him first and best, to preach this concept centuries before ‘Faustina’s Divine Mercy’ cult. Jesus appeared to Sister Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque way back in 1673, and requested the 9 First Friday Devotions to His Sacred Heart, in reparation of insults and blasphemies, and to ask for His Divine Mercy.

Make a badge; especially with your children and/or grand children — and wear it to remind yourself and others to make, and if necessary, call on your parish priests to offer once again this Traditional First Friday Devotion to The Sacred Heart of Jesus. May it be restored in our Catholic Churches, and may Jesus’ Sacred Heart reign in Catholic Homes again, everywhere!

Although I do not incline myself towards any immodesty of any age, I do think most of these hats/hat shapes are worthy (minus the big plumes and gaudy decorations) of returning to public use. A lady wore a hat to protect herself against the elements, including the sun’s harmful and ugly tanning effects, to cover her head in modesty both in Church and in public, and yes, to look pretty. A lady also wore gloves for the same reasons; but, moreover, to protect herself from germs, instead of whipping out the later developments of “hand sanitizers” and “antibiotics” to “cleanse” ourselves, unfettered, even though using too much alcohol based products and popping excessive doses of antibiotics, neither being as effective as once thought, and which often cause more health issues for many people, rather than simply wearing gloves and washing them in good old soap and water. People need to keep their fingers off of their faces and out of their noses (at home and in public) and wash their hands frequently. Today’s society “should” be smarter and know better! (duh!) Americans, (as well as people of other nations,) have become ugly, fat slobs with little or no morals, manners, hygiene, modesty, decency, or any amount of good taste at all.

Women pay large amounts of money today for big, ugly, animal-like nails painted in hideous colors which are hardly conducive to housework or an outside job, colored and chopped off hair that looks either like rats sucked on the ends of it or buzzed in the style of a man, men who dress like women, clothes that are ugly and of poor quality: t-shirts, jeans, up-to-the-butt-and-down-past-the-cleavange-supernova-ugly “fashions”, baseball caps, (holy Beaver Cleaver!) and tattoos that make anyone of any age look lazy, sloppy, and filthy.

None are at all complimentary; all a radical “fashions” of a radical agenda and come from The House of Satan’s Manure-Couture.

Be a lady or the man God made you to be and top it off with a modest hat to coordinate with your modest and becoming attire: one you can tip as you pass by a Traditional Catholic Church in Honor of the Blessed Sacrament dwelling there – instead of flinging your cigarette butts or spitting on the sidewalk as you pass.

Look in the mirror: really look. Your ‘sex’ is meant to be holy according to your station in life, instead of being displayed for all to see: either in an ugly or attractive way – especially to children. What the heck’s the matter with this country? Take out the trash! Cover up in modesty and goodness out of respect for the Blessed Sacrament and the Immaculate Heart of Mary – unless you lack the True Religion and guts it takes to become holy and decent.

Sample: I steam-bonded the entire coat with Easy-Knit Pellon. You can see how it stabilizes and lines. It also is quite supple, and did not stiffen the fabric, keeping nearly it's original hand.

Here in Rome, the Instruction Universae Ecclesiae (UE) was released today concerning the Latin Tridentine Mass. (I never use the term “Extraordinary Form”).

At a first quick read, it appears to contain nothing particularly new or earth-shattering. It appears to be specific instruction to the world’s bishops for the uniform implementation of Benedict XVI’s Summorum Pontificum of 2007. I have pasted below the “Specific Norms”. I find point #19 of special interest, as most of us have justifiable difficulties with the “legitimacy” of the Novus Ordo (just take a quick read of the Ottaviani Intervention). We’ll see what the world’s bishops do with the new instruction.

Instruction Specific Norms

12. Following upon the inquiry made among the Bishops of the world, and with the desire to guarantee the proper interpretation and the correct application of the Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum, this Pontifical Commission, by virtue of the authority granted to it and the faculties which it enjoys, issues this Instruction according to can. 34 of the Code of Canon Law.

The Competence of Diocesan Bishops

13. Diocesan Bishops, according to Canon Law, are to monitor liturgical matters in order to guarantee the common good and to ensure that everything is proceeding in peace and serenity in their Dioceses[1], always in agreement with the mens of the Holy Father clearly expressed by the Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum.[2] In cases of controversy or well-founded doubt about the celebration in the forma extraordinaria, the Pontifical Commission Ecclesia Dei will adjudicate.

14. It is the task of the Diocesan Bishop to undertake all necessary measures to ensure respect for the forma extraordinaria of the Roman Rite, according to the Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum.

The coetus fidelium (cf. Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum, art. 5 § 1)

15. A coetus fidelium (“group of the faithful”) can be said to be stabiliter existens (“existing in a stable manner”), according to the sense of art. 5 § 1 of the Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum, when it is constituted by some people of an individual parish who, even after the publication of the Motu Proprio, come together by reason of their veneration for the Liturgy in the Usus Antiquior, and who ask that it might be celebrated in the parish church or in an oratory or chapel; such a coetus (“group”) can also be composed of persons coming from different parishes or dioceses, who gather together in a specific parish church or in an oratory or chapel for this purpose.

16. In the case of a priest who presents himself occasionally in a parish church or an oratory with some faithful, and wishes to celebrate in the forma extraordinaria, as foreseen by articles 2 and 4 of the Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum, the pastor or rector of the church, or the priest responsible, is to permit such a celebration, while respecting the schedule of liturgical celebrations in that same church.

17. § 1. In deciding individual cases, the pastor or the rector, or the priest responsible for a church, is to be guided by his own prudence, motivated by pastoral zeal and a spirit of generous welcome.

§ 2. In cases of groups which are quite small, they may approach the Ordinary of the place to identify a church in which these faithful may be able to come together for such celebrations, in order to ensure easier participation and a more worthy celebration of the Holy Mass.

18. Even in sanctuaries and places of pilgrimage the possibility to celebrate in the forma extraordinaria is to be offered to groups of pilgrims who request it (cf. Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum, art. 5 § 3), if there is a qualified priest.

19. The faithful who ask for the celebration of the forma extraordinaria must not in any way support or belong to groups which show themselves to be against the validity or legitimacy of the Holy Mass or the Sacraments celebrated in the forma ordinaria or against the Roman Pontiff as Supreme Pastor of the Universal Church.

Sacerdos idoneus (“Qualified Priest”) (cf. Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum, art 5 § 4)

20. With respect to the question of the necessary requirements for a priest to be held idoneus (“qualified”) to celebrate in the forma extraordinaria, the following is hereby stated:

a. Every Catholic priest who is not impeded by Canon Law[3] is to be considered idoneus (“qualified”) for the celebration of the Holy Mass in the forma extraordinaria.

b. Regarding the use of the Latin language, a basic knowledge is necessary, allowing the priest to pronounce the words correctly and understand their meaning.

c. Regarding knowledge of the execution of the Rite, priests are presumed to be qualified who present themselves spontaneously to celebrate the forma extraordinaria, and have celebrated it previously.

21. Ordinaries are asked to offer their clergy the possibility of acquiring adequate preparation for celebrations in the forma extraordinaria. This applies also to Seminaries, where future priests should be given proper formation, including study of Latin[4] and, where pastoral needs suggest it, the opportunity to learn the forma extraordinaria of the Roman Rite.

22. In Dioceses without qualified priests, Diocesan Bishops can request assistance from priests of the Institutes erected by the Pontifical Commission Ecclesia Dei, either to the celebrate the forma extraordinaria or to teach others how to celebrate it.

23. The faculty to celebrate sine populo (or with the participation of only one minister) in the forma extraordinaria of the Roman Rite is given by the Motu Proprio to all priests, whether secular or religious (cf. Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum, art. 2). For such celebrations therefore, priests, by provision of the Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum, do not require any special permission from their Ordinaries or superiors.

I don’t know about you – but it’s a battle worth fighting! Why in The Name of The Blessed Virgin Mary would you let your kids dress like a street walker? It is mortal sin and punishable for all eternity in fire and suffering; but that is only #2 = #1 – it offends God and all of Heaven! If you let your kids dress and act like this (guess what: they go hand-in-hand!) you are responsible to God for permitting it.

WAKE UP! Look around: foul mouth, dirty movies & books, sex-ed in school, sexual promiscuity, sexual and violent abuse, rape, incest, murder, pre-teen pregnancy, permanent scars, and babies either aborted, abused by the “boyfriend,” or raised the same way with the same lies and ending up with the same lifestyle. All avoidable: it begins with The True Traditional Catholic Faith Teaching and dressing modestly ladylike. We act as we dress; we dress as we act.

It simply starts there and needs to be cultivated for the rest of their lives.

Mom, get a grip; you don’t look good in that trash, either.
